ABSTRACT FORM FOR STUDENT POSTER COMPETITION

The 2015 Neuroscience Poster Session will be held on April 24th from 1-5 pm in the  Centennial Auditorium Atrium, Rm 1000, Thad Cochran Research Center. Faculty that would like to give brief talks my also do so from 1-2 and 4-5 pm in a nearby room in Faser Hall.  Please let me know if your would like to give a short talk.

Refreshments will be served.

This is a forum for students, faculty and staff to share their research interests, goals, and expertise. We hope that by sharing our research endeavors we will facilitate collaborations and awareness of the Neuroscience Minor and Neuroscience research on campus. We invite and encourage any department on campus to participate and present posters even if their research is not Neuroscience related.

We encourage presentation of individual research projects and general submissions from departments, divisions, centers or laboratories about organizational research capabilities and aspirations.

Cash awards will be made for the best student posters in three categories: Clinical Neuroscience, Behavioral Neuroscience, Cognitive Neuroscience, and Overall best poster in any research field.

It is important that we know the number of posters ahead of time in order to plan the logistics of the sessions, poster printing schedules, etc.   If you would like to be considered for one of the awards, you must also submit an abstract form for your poster and identify the award category for which you would like to be considered to lainyday@olemiss.edu.  To submit posters that will not be considered for the award please fill out the abbreviated poster form.

These poster sessions are regarded as public disclosures. If you have concerns about disclosing potentially patentable information or if you have any other questions, please contact Lainy Day, associate professor of biology and director of the Neuroscience Minor,  at 662/915.5444 or lainyday@olemiss.edu.
